Infinite Candle

Designer Yuya Kurata describes his project as a candle holder, but the only difference is that it makes a new candle underneath as the one that is above melts. It looks like a good idea, but it’s not a complete design in my view because the candles do not get liquefied as much as it would be necessary so it creates a distorted candle. Even though it’s not a complete project the idea of creating an infinite energy source is awesome.

Bokeh Photography

This week for Photography class, I had to make some research for different styles of photography. So the term Bokeh is derived from a Japanese word that means “blur”. By giving blur or Bokeh to some parts of the picture, you got the chance to achieve an aesthetic quality. This technique is generally used to show an object stand out in the photo. This effect also can be achieved by out of focus regions of a photo.

Some people might not like this kind of photography and it’s not easy to define a good blur, but if the main subject in the photo is emphasized successfully, I think it becomes a good bokeh.
